Dwight Schrute nods in approval.

My Dwight bobblehead followed me almost two years ago from Waco, Texas, to Denver, Colo. And I brought it home from work last week as I made the transition from employed to self-employed.

Dwight encourages me, nodding his head in agreement as I type. That's especially appreciated today, as I breach the gap between "I want to write full-time someday" to "I'm a freelance writer."

Before I jump right into my first article, I have to finish this Web site and establish a back-up system, my two main goals for this week. Dwight will surely lose his charm when I'm cursing Illustrator's pen tool and he's mocking me with sarcastic affirmation. His next big move might be to the floor, where he'll serve as our dog's newest chew toy. You're on thin ice, Dwight.

Nice picture. You better not let Kona have him as a chew toy, he's too bobblicious.

Congrats Kirsten! Best of luck! Kelley has all kinds of clients around so we'll be sure to let you know if they need any marketing or grant work.

Hey Kirsten, I just wanted to say that the site looks pretty sweet. Nice use of toolbars on the side and good layout as well. I'm looking forward to hearing about the future success that will continue to pile up for you. As ol' Dr. Seuss said, "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose." Keep up the good work! Theo
