I’m so proud of you and your journey Kirst. Reading it, I remembered us sitting there at your apartment, going through all those things with you and then rejoicing with you after you told me about the intervention. I was honored to be a part of that with you. Who would have ever thought you’d be so comfortable about sharing it with the world. We both went from announcing there was an elephant in the room, to healing. God is so Good!! I think the reason for my intervention with my mom was to keep me from preventing her rock bottom, and giving her a glimpse of reality. I completely understand your anxiety about relapse, I will pray for you as you continue to process through that.
GREAT WRITING. I think your work will help a lot of families of addiction for years to come and I’m excited about that prospect… or whatever God does with it.

wow. great writing!
I passed this one on to our Drug/Alcohol specialist. Sometimes our own journey helps others process theirs. Good job!
