The beer can is half full.
In the midst of my observations, I found the upside to camping! You combine the best of both worlds, camping and home.
Last night, we grilled hamburgers and corn and sat on the patio under our pergola. Then we tried to start a fire in our fire pit, but it took too long. So we cooked banana boats on the grill.
This picture isn’t close up, because it doesn’t do justice to the scrumptiousness of the dessert.
Here’s what you do:
Ingredients:
bananas
marshmallows
peanut butter
chocolate bar
tin foil
Peel a section of the banana, and split the banana (keep the peel attached and don’t cut all the way through). Then fill the center of the banana with scoops of peanut butter, marshmallows and pieces of chocolate. Replace the peel so the banana is covered, and wrap in tin foil. Cook over a fire or grill for about 5 minutes.
We ate our desserts from the comfort of our family room, with TV, bathrooms and coasters all within reach. And beer, as you’ll notice in the picture. Perfect.
must. try. amazingness.
